Not only is Phil Goodman one of a handful of Apple Certified Trainers in the country, he completed his graduate work at the renowned UCLA Graduate School of Education and he served as a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at UCLA teaching Programming and Computer Literacy for many years. Phil has also taught hundreds of seminars on various computer and IT related topics at national and local conferences including Macworld, iWorld, MacIT, MacTech and ACES, computer user groups, internal Apple training camps and various Apple stores.

During challenging times for in-person training, we specialize in online training using Zoom, Ecamm and other platforms to deliver appropriate and personalized macOS, iOS and iPadOS content with the extras you expect from great teachers. Our curriculum includes macOS, iOS, iPadOS, as well as productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, FileMaker Pro, and Photos among many others. Other topics include managing data in the Cloud, security and password management, cleaning up contacts, creating and managing media libraries, online collaboration tools, and archiving online content.

macOS Essentials 1: This course will focus on getting around the Mac, the Dock, the Finder and System Preferences. We'll learn about organizing your files and folders and approaches to storing and finding things. Even if you're a long-time Mac user, we'll focus on day-to-day activities and fill in the "holes" in your knowledge. We'll also go over basic iCloud and the App Store. This is the class to take to really understand the basis of the Mac itself and it will prepare your for macOS Essentials 2 where we'll get into macOS applications.

macOS Essentials 2: Following up on the basics of macOS, Essentials 2 will focus on more advanced System Preferences as well as macOS applications like Safari, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Messages, FaceTime, Music, Podcasts, News, Books, and some Apple utilities.
